Q. The fussion process is possible at high temperatures, because at higher temperatures

J & K CETJ & K CET 2005Nuclei

Solution:

In practise, nuclear fusion is very difficult process. This is so when positively charged nuclei come very close for fusion, the force of electrical repulsion between them becomes very strong. For fusion against this force, they require very high energy. To impart, so much energy to them, very high temperature and very high pressure is requried.
