Solution:

The visceral nervous system is a part of PNS. It is comprised of nerves, fibers, ganglia, and plexuses by which impulse travels from CNS to the viscera and vice versa. It controls activities inside the body that are generally involuntary, such as peristalsis, heartbeat, sweating, etc. The medulla and hypothalamus maintain their overall control. Its main sites are involuntary muscles, exocrine glands, blood vessels, skin.
