Cryolite $ (N{{a}_{3}}Al{{F}_{6}}) $ is an ore of aluminium. In the Hall process cryolite is used with $ \text{A}{{\text{l}}_{\text{2}}}{{\text{O}}_{\text{3}}} $ because cryolite increase the electrical conductivity of cell as $ \text{A}{{\text{l}}_{\text{2}}}{{\text{O}}_{\text{3}}} $ is a poor conductor.
