: Cyathium is an inflorescence in which the bracts fuse to form involucral cup which completely encloses a single female flower (pedicellate), surrounded by the male flowers represented by single stamen borne on a short or long pedicel. Perianth is absent. Ray florets are female or sterile, sessile, sepals absent or modified into pappus. These are present in capitulum surrounded by in volucral bracts along with disc florets.
