Q. The flocculation value of $HCl$ for arsenic sulphide sol. is $30mmolL^{- 1}.$ If $H_{2}SO_{4}$ is used for the flocculation of arsenic sulphide, the amount, in grams, of $H_{2}SO_{4}$ in $250ml$ required for the above purpose is
(molecular mass of $H_{2}SO_{4}=98 \, g/mol$ )

Solution:

$ \rightarrow $ 1 litre solution of 30 m mol of $HCl$ is required
$ \rightarrow $ For 1 litre solution 15 m mol $H_{2}\text{S}\text{O}_{4}$ is required.
250 ml of solution required: $\frac{15}{4}\times 10^{- 3}$ (m mol) of $H_{2}SO_{4}$
$=0.\text{3675 gm}$
