Q. The first heart sound 'Lubb' occurs in which phase of the cardiac cycle?

Body Fluids and Circulation

Solution:

The first heart sound 'Lubb' can be heard, during contraction of the ventricles (i.e. ventricular systole). This is associated with the closure of the tricuspid and bicuspid valves.
