Q. The first electron acceptor in cyclic photo- phosphorylation is

AMUAMU 1998

Solution:

: During cyclic photophosphorylation, in photoact I high energy electrons move from P700 to $ NAD{{P}^{+}} $ through ferredoxin (Fd), the first electron acceptor. When all of the $ NAD{{P}^{+}} $ has been reduced, the ferredoxin transfers electrons back to P700 by cyclic route through many electron acceptors like PQ, cyt. b, PC etc.
