Solution:

Carbon dioxide produced by the tissues diffuses into the blood stream and passes into the red blood cells where it combines with water to form carbonic acid this process is catalysed by the enzyme carbonic anhydrase found in red blood cells. This is the fastest acting enzyme and helps in the formation as well as decomposition of carbonic acid to carry carbon dioxide.
