Structural Organisation in Animals

Solution:

Malpighian tubules are unbranched fine yellow coloured blind tubules attached at the junction of mid and hindgut in cockroach. These tubules extract metabolic wastes like potassium and sodium urate and water from the blood. Bicarbonates of sodium and potassium, water and uric acid are formed inside the tubules. The uric acid is then carried to the alimentary canal of the insect and is finally passed out through anus.
