Q. The examples of cellular endosperm are
(1) Citrus, Malea, Primula
(2) Adoxa, Cetranthus, Datura
(3) Phoenix, Acer, Arachis
(4) Impatiens, Magnolia, Cetranthus

BHUBHU 2009

Solution:

Cellular endosperm is found in $25\%$ angiospermic families in which the embryo develops slowly. During cellular type of endosperm development, the primary endosperm mother cell divides by mitotic divisions and each division is followed by a cell wall formation, eg, Adoxa, Cetranthus, Datura, Impatiens, Magnolia, etc.
Nuclear endosperm is more common type of endosperm occurring in about $56\%$ of those angiospermic families in which embryo grows faster.
eg, Acer, Arachis, Phoenix, Citrus, Primula, Calotropis, etc.
