Peptide bond formation is catalyzed by enzyme peptidyl transferase which is a ribozyme. High molecular weight rRNA, $23S$ in prokaryotes, and $28S $ in eukaryotes function as a ribozyme. These rRNAs are located in a larger subunit of the ribosome at P site.
