Number of electrons in $ {{M}^{2+}}=24 $
$ \therefore $ number of electrons in $ M=26 $
i.e., atomic number $ (Z)=26 $
Mass number $ (A)=56 $
$ \therefore $ number of neutrons
$ =A-Z=56-26=30 $ .
