The electric field of an electric dipole at a point on its axis at a distance $d$ from the centre of the dipole is
$E=\frac{2 p}{4 \pi \epsilon _{0} d^{3}}$ , where $p$ is the dipole moment of the dipole.
Hence, $E \propto \frac{1}{d^{3}}$
