Q. The dimensions of Planck’s constant is the same as the product of

MHT CETMHT CET 2010

Solution:

The dimensions of Planck constant,
$[h]=\left[\frac{E}{v}\right]=\left[ ML ^{2} T ^{-1}\right]$
Force, $[F]=\left[ MLT ^{-2}\right]$
Displacement, $[d]=[ L ]$
Time $[t]=[ T ]$
$\therefore \quad[F][d][t] =\left[ MLT ^{-2}\right][ L ][ T ] $
$=\left[ ML ^{2} T ^{-1}\right]$
Hence the dimensions of Planck's constant is the same as the product of force, displacement and time.
