Q. The difference between heat of reaction at constant pressure $\left(\triangle H\right)$ and at constant volume $\left(\right.ΔE\left.\right)$ for the reaction: $C_{\left(s\right)}+\frac{1}{2}O_{2 \left(g\right)} \rightarrow \left(CO\right)_{\left(g\right)}$ is :-
(Assume $R=0.002KcalK^{- 1}mol^{- 1}$ and temperature $=TK$ )

Solution:

$\triangle H-\triangle E=\triangle n_{g}RT$
$=\frac{1}{2}\times 0.002\times TKcal$
$=\frac{T}{2}cal$
