Q. The density of a gas A is twice that of B. Molecular mass of $A$ is half of molecular mass of $B$. The ratio of partial pressure of $A$ and $B$ is:

States of Matter

Solution:

$PV = nRT$

$P=\frac{\text { WRT }}{M V}=\frac{d R T}{M}$

$\frac{P_{A}}{P_{B}}=\frac{d_{A}}{d_{B}} \times \frac{M_{B}}{M_{A}}$

$=\frac{2}{1} \times \frac{2}{1}=\frac{4}{1}$
