Q. The current gain for a transistor used in the common-emitter configuration is $98.$ If the load resistance be $1M\Omega $ and the internal resistance be $600\Omega,$ what is the voltage gain?

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Current gain, $\beta =98$
Load resistance, $R_{L}=10^{6}\Omega$
Internal resistance, $R_{i}=600\Omega$
In common emitter configuration,
$A_{v}=\beta \frac{R_{L}}{R_{i}}=98\times \frac{10^{6}}{600}=16.33\times 10^{4}$
