Solution:

When number of protons decreased in stroma, protons accumulate and pH value decreased in the lumen, it results increation of proton gradient across the thylakoid membrane. This proton gradient is then exploited by the cell to drive various processes, including the transport of ions and small molecules across plasma membranes.
