Q. The correct statement is

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Epimers are pair of diastereomers which differ in their configuration at only single chiral carbon. Example, glucose and mannose are $C-2$ epimers(difference is at $2^{n d}$ carbon) and glucose and galactose are $C-4$ epimers (differ at $4^{t h}$ carbon). Glucose and fructose are functional isomers and $\alpha -D-$ glucose and $\beta -D-$ glucose are anomers.
