In different taxonomic hierarchy the taxonomic categories are arranged in a proper descending order. Smallest category is species. One or more than one species can belong to a particular genus (pl-genera). Many genera constitute a family, families constitute the orders then class, division or phylum (pl-phyla) and ultimately kingdom is constituted.
