Duramater-Arachnoid-piamater. Duramater is thick, tough and non-elastic with abundant collagen fibres. Arachnoid is thin, but non-vascular and abundant collagen and elastin fibres, separated from piamater. Piamater is also thin, soft, highly vascular and closely adhered to brain surface.
