Solution:

In both monocots and dicots endosperm is formed before embryo. Coleoptile covering the plumule and coleorhiza covering the radicle is seen in the monocot embryo and not in the dicot embryo. In monocots, a single cotyledon is formed the upper cell of the embryo which the lower cell forms radicle and plumule. Thus the growth of the monocot embryo is lateral. In monocots, the basal cell enlarges and forms a large vesicular suspensor. In dicots, the basal cell divides horizontal for form a layer of $6 \, - \, 10$ cells called. The cell touching the embryo is hypophysis while the cell on its extreme opposite is haustoria.
