Solution:
Coralloid roots of Cycas, are irregular negatively geotropic, dichotomously branched coral like roots devoid of root hairs and root caps. These roots have a symbiotic association with blue green algae $(BGA)$ like Nostoc and Anabaena. The $BGA$ fixes nitrogen for the plant and in return gets food and shelter. Such type of assodation,_where both the organisms are benefitted is known as symbiosis.
