The conversion is done by Hofmann bromamide reaction or Hofmann degradation of amides. The original amide on heating with a mixture of $ B{{r}_{2}} $ in the presence of NaOH or KOH to give amine. $ C{{H}_{3}}CON{{H}_{2}}+B{{r}_{2}}+4NaOH\xrightarrow{\Delta } $ $ C{{H}_{3}}N{{H}_{2}}+2NaBr+N{{a}_{2}}C{{O}_{3}}+2{{H}_{2}}O $
