Solution:

In acid medium $K_{2} Cr _{2} O _{7}$ gives green colour.
This is due to change of oxidation number of chromium from $+6$ to $+3$.
$K _{2} Cr _{2} O _{7}+4 H _{2} SO _{4} \rightarrow Cr _{2}\left( SO _{4}\right)_{3}+ K _{2} SO _{4} +4 H _{2} O +3[O]$
