Here, $c(t)=2 \sin 8 \pi t$ (in volt)
Therefore, amplitude of the carrier wave, $E_{c}=2\, V$
From the figure, the amplitude of the modulating signal, $E_{m}=1\, V$
Therefore, modulation index,
$\mu=\frac{E_{m}}{E_{c}}=\frac{1}{2}=0.5$
