Q. The capacitance of a spherical conductor with radius $1\, m$ is:

Rajasthan PMTRajasthan PMT 2005Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance

Solution:

The capacitance of spherical conductor is given by
$C=4 \pi \varepsilon_{0} r$
Here $: r=1\, m$
$4 \pi \varepsilon_{0} =\frac{1}{9 \times 10^{9}}$
$C =\frac{1}{4 \times 10^{9}} \times 1$
$C =2.5 \times 10^{-10} F$
