Q. The bond length between hybridised carbon atom and other carbon atom is minimum in

AIPMTAIPMT 1996Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure

Solution:

The $C-C$ bond length $=1.54\, \mathring{A}, C=C$ bond length $=1.34\, \mathring{A}$ and $C \equiv C$ bond length $=1.20\, \mathring{A}$. Since propyne has a triple bond, therefore it has minimum bond length.
