With a very dilute solution of $ N{{a}_{2}}{{S}_{2}},{{O}_{3}} $ silver nitrate gives a white -precipitate which quickly changes colour to yellow, brown and finally black due to the formation of silver sulphide. $ 2AgN{{O}_{3}}+N{{a}_{2}}{{S}_{2}}{{O}_{3}}\xrightarrow[{}]{{}}\underset{white\,ppt}{\mathop{A{{g}_{2}}{{S}_{2}}{{O}_{3}}}}\,+NaN{{O}_{3}} $ $ A{{g}_{2}}{{S}_{2}}{{O}_{3}}+{{H}_{2}}O\xrightarrow[{}]{{}}\underset{black}{\mathop{A{{g}_{2}}S}}\,+{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}} $
