Q. The basicity of aniline is less than that of cyclohexylamine. This is due to

Solution:

$ -NH_{2}$ has $ +R $ effect, it donates electrons to the benzene ring. As a result, the lone pair of electrons on the $N$-atom get delocalized over the benzene ring and thus less readily available for protonation. Hence, aniline is a weaker base than cyclohexylamine.
