Bacterial DNA is a single circular molecule of about $5$ million base pairs and of length $1 \,mm$. The total DNA (.the genome) and hence, the amount of information it contains, is much less than that of a eukaryotic cell; typically it contains several thousand genes, about $500$ times fewer than the human cell.
