Q. The angle between the pair of lines $x^2 + 2xy - y^2 = 0$

KCETKCET 2009Straight Lines

Solution:

Given pair of lines is $x^{2}+2 x y-y^{2}=0$
Here, $a=1, \,\,\,\,\, b=-1, \,\,\,\,\, h=1$
Now, $a+b=1-1=0$
Hence, given pair of lines are perpendicular.
