Solution:

Angle traced by the hour hand in 12 hours = $360°$
Angle traced by it in 4 hrs 25 mins i.e., $4 \frac{5}{12} $ hrs = $ \frac{53}{12}$ hrs
$= \left(\frac{360}{12} \times \frac{53}{12}\right) = \frac{265}{2} = 132 \frac{1}{2}^{\circ} $
Angled traced by it in 25 minutes
$= \frac{360}{60} \times 25 =150^{\circ} $
Required angle $= \left(150 -132 \frac{1}{2}\right)^{\circ} = 17 \frac{1}{2}^{\circ}$
