Q.
The alcohol which easily reacts with conc. $HCl$ is
AMUAMU 2007
Solution:
Tertiary alcohol readily reacts with halogen acid.
Presence of $3$ alkyl group increases electron density on $ 3^{\circ} $ carbon atom. Hence, $-OH$ group is easily removed. After removal of $-OH$ group $ 3^{\circ} $ carbonium ion is formed which is most stable.
