Q.
The alcohol which easily reacts with conc. HCl is
Alcohols Phenols and Ethers
Solution:
Tertiary alcohol readily reacts with halogen acid
Presence of 3 alkyl groups increases electron density on $3^{\circ}$ carbon atom. Hence -OH group is easily removed. After the removal of -OH group is easily removed. After the removal of -O H group $3^{\circ}$ carbonium ion is formed which is most stable
