Q. The alcohol which easily reacts with conc. HCl is
Alcohols Phenols and Ethers
Solution:
Tertiary alcohol readily reacts with halogen acid.Presence of three alkyl groups increase electron density on $3^{\circ}$ carbon atom. Hence, -OH group is easily removed. After removal of $-OH$ group, $3^\circ$ carbonium ion is formed which is most stable.
