Terylene is a copolymer of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol. It is a polyester fibre.

Since, it is a product of condensation polymerisation, in which molecular mass of polymer is not a whole number of monomer (due to loss of $H _{2} O$ molecules), so it is also called step growth polymer.
