Q. Terminal electron acceptor in ETC is

UP CPMTUP CPMT 2003

Solution:

ETS or ETC is the chain of specifically and adjacently arranged enzymes (mostly conjugated proteins eg; cytochromes) and associated coenzymes embedded in an ion-impermeable membrane, along which electrons pass by redox reactions from one to the next. Along the way - they provide proton motive force needed for ATP synthesis by ATPase and finally the electrons are accepted by oxygen
