NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2020Structural Organisation in Animals

Solution:

Tendons are short inelastic cords of connective tissue that connect muscle to bone. They are made up of dense regular connective tissue. They have collagen fibres arranged parallelly. There may be ossification within some tendons to form sesamoid bones, such as patella bone which is formed in the tendon of quadriceps femoris.
