Q. Succus entericus is secreted by

KCETKCET 2007Digestion and Absorption

Solution:

Succus entericus is secreted by the intestinal glands of Crypts of Lieberkuhn. Enzymes of succus entericus act on the partially digested food and convert them into final digestive products. The proteolytic enzymes convert peptides into amino acids. Amylolytic enzymes (sucrase, lactase, maltase) convert disaccharides into 2 molecules of monosaccharides.
