Solution:
Vegetation of tropical rain forest shows stratification. Stratification is the grouping of plants in a forest into two or more well defined layers depending upon their height like tall trees, medium sized, small trees bushes herbs etc. The different layers are known as strata or storey. Temperate rain forest are evergreen. Primary productivity is high and there is a large standing crop of woods. Epiphytes, bryophytes and miniature ferns are common here. Deserts are either barren or with scanty vegetation consisting mainly of thorny bushes. The word Tundra means marshy plains and they lie north of $60^{\circ}N$ . The tundra is treeless Arctic and barren but have some grasses sedges, lichens rocks and water.
