Q. Statement I: Work done by the force of friction in moving a body around a closed loop is zero
Statement II: Work done does not depend upon the nature of force.

Work, Energy and Power

Solution:

Work done during the motion of a body over a closed path depends upon whether the force doing work is conservative or non-conservative in nature. For conservative forces like gravitational forces like frictional force some work is done.
