Q. Statement I : A body becomes weightless at the centre of earth.
Statement II : As the distance from centre of earth decreases, acceleration due to gravity increases.

Solution:

As the distance from centre of earth decreases, acceleration due to gravity decreases and at the centre of earth it becomes zero.
$g' = g(1 - \frac{d}{R})$. if $d = R$ then $g' = 0$
