Embryo develops near to the micropylar end of the embryo sac. Usually zygotes start dividing only whensome amount of endosperm is formed. This is to ensure the nutrition to the developing embryo.Although the seeds of monocots and dicots differ greatly but their early stages of embryodevelopment (embryogeny) are very similar.
Coleorrhiza: Radical and the root cap (located at the lower end of the embryonal axis) are enclosedinan undifferentiated sheath called coleorrhiza.
