Solution:

Hydrogen has three isotopes namely protium $\left({ }_1 H ^1\right)$ deuterium $\left({ }_1 H ^2\right.$ or $\left.D \right)$ and tritium $\left({ }_1 H ^3\right.$ or $\left.T \right)$. Tritium is radioactive and emits low energy $\beta$ particles.
