Solution:

Spore is the first cell of gametophytic generation in Funaria. On approach of favourable conditions the spore absorbs water. Now the exine ruptures and intine comes out in form of germ tube. It devides and enlarges to form a branched alga-like filamentous protonema. Fully developed sporophyte is made up of foot, seta and capsule. The capsule is terminal pear-shaped portion. It consists of apophysis, theca and operculum. Spore sac is found in theca portion of capsule where spores are produced.
