Q.
Silver halide which is readily soluble in ammonium chloride is
J & K CETJ & K CET 2010The d-and f-Block Elements
Solution:
Silver chloride, $AgCl$ is readily soluble in aqueous ammonium chloride due to formation of a soluble complex as
$AgCl + NH _{4} OH \rightarrow\left[ Ag \left( NH _{3}\right)_{2}\right] Cl$
$AgBr$ and $Agl$ are less soluble in comparison to $AgCl$.
