Solution:

$\text{SiCl}_{4}$ undergoes hydrolysis to form ortho silicic acid and hydrogen chloride, this hydrolysis reaction occurs due to the availability of vacant d orbitals in silicon atom.
$\left(\text{SiCl}\right)_{4}+4\left(\text{H}\right)_{\text{2}}\text{O} \rightarrow \underset{\left(\right. \text{X} \left.\right)}{\left(\text{H}\right)_{\text{4}} \left(\text{SiO}\right)_{\text{4}}}+\text{4HCl}$
$\left(\text{H}\right)_{\text{4}} \left(\text{SiO}\right)_{4} \rightarrow _{\left(\text{1000}\right)^{\text{o}} \text{C}}^{\text{Δ}} \underset{\left(\right. \text{Y} \left.\right)}{\left(\text{SiO}\right)_{\text{2}}} + 2 \left(\text{H}\right)_{\text{2}} \text{O}$
