Solution:

Tropical environments, are less seasonal, and relatively more constant and predictable then temperate ones. Also temperate zones have undergone frequent changes in the past which has led to constant changing environmental conditions which is not favorable for species diversity where as tropical zones have more or less remained unchanged.
