Solution:

Simple permanent tissues contain similar types of cells which have lost the capability to divide and attained special features to perform a similar set of function. These are of three types namely parenchyma, collenchyma, and sclerenchyma. Parenchyma is a living thin-walled similar cell. It is present in most parts of the plant. These cells are almost round and the cell wall is made up of cellulose. The main function of typical parenchyma is the storage of food. Collenchyma is living cells that possess pectocellulose thickening in tangential or near the intercellular area of the cell wall. The main function of this tissue is to provide mechanical strength along with flexibility. Sclerenchyma composed of simple highly thickened wall dead cells. The thickening made up of lignin. The main function is to provide mechanical strength only.
